The Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has said awards in recognition of his efforts since assumption of office will motivate him to do more in delivering good governance for the people.
Aroyewun said this during the week -long annual Igbogbo Day Celebration in which he was honoured with awards in recognition of his achievements in office within a short period of time.
He received the Adeboruwa Excellence Award by the Igbogbo Day Planning Committee and another one from the Market Men and Women.

Recall that the young council chairman, within his 100 days in office which was marked recently, commissioned two Primary Health Centres (PHCs) at Ibeshe and Baiyeku, which were fully rehabilitated and upgraded and a fully rehabilitated block of six classrooms and six units of toilet facilities that he constructed.
He also reconstructed the Oliwo Amoju Road which has collapsed for about three years and was impassable. The road has been fully stabilized with functional drainage system. The remaining parts of the road construction concern covering with asphalt and solar -powered lights.
The IBLCDA chairman has also made great impacts on security, youth development, staff welfare, security and other areas.

In a statement at the weekend by Oluwaseun Ajayi, the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Omoba Aroyewun expressed his appreciation at the recognitions and awards during the Igbogbo Day Celebrations by reputable community institutions, professional bodies, and socio-cultural groups, including the Market Men and Women Association
He said that: “The honours highlight the expanding confidence in the Chairman’s leadership and his administration’s continuous efforts toward sustainable development across the LCDA.
“This year’s celebrations have uniquely showcased the unity, cultural pride, and shared aspirations of the Igbogbo community. The collective acknowledgements received by the Chairman reflect the tangible progress recorded in strengthening local commerce, improving infrastructure, supporting grassroots enterprises, and deepening partnerships that enhance economic growth within the LCDA.

“The Executive Chairman notes that each recognition serves not merely as a symbol of achievement, but as a compelling motivation to intensify the delivery of impactful, people-centered governance. These honours reaffirm the administration’s belief that when leadership aligns with community needs, meaningful transformation becomes inevitable.
The media aide also said that Aroyewun emphasized that: “These recognitions further inspire his unwavering commitment to selfless service, transparency, and inclusive development. He reaffirmed that the trust reposed in him by stakeholders across Igbogbo Kingdom will continue to be reciprocated through expanded initiatives in economic empowerment, youth development, social welfare, and market modernization, key drivers of sustainable local prosperity.

“As the Igbogbo Day Celebrations continue to elevate the cultural heritage and collective identity of the kingdom, Chairman Aroyewun reiterates his dedication to building on the momentum.
